This intervention, submitted to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights by the Indian Law Resource Center, urges the Commission to call upon the United States to comply with the request of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to stop all actions being taken against the Western Shoshone pending their investigation into the matter. The United States did not honor the request because they claim that they are not bound by the decisions of the IACHR.
